This bread is SO good. Sometimes we eat it as a meal with some cheese and meat and fruit. Tear off pieces and dip in olive oil. Mix the olive oil with some good quality balsamic vinegar or roasted garlic. It goes really well with my Minestrone Soup.
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons sugar
2 cups unbleached bread flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup dry milk
2 teaspoons yeast
Put ingredients in your bread machine in the manufacture's recommended order. Set to *dough* setting. When ready spread into one or two circles on oiled, parchment paper lined baking sheet. Push flat with fingers (like a pizza dough) and make lots of dimples in it. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle on kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary (my favorite), basil, feta or parmesan cheese in ANY combination. Let rise while you preheat the oven for 10 minutes. Bake at 450 F. for 10-12 minutes.
