Our Guarantee

After nearly 40 years in buck-skinning and historical re-enactment I began to realize that very darn few people out there were supplying truly "authentic" goods from the early period of our country's history. I made myself and my customers a promise, and that promise has become our basic guarantee and back bone for the company:

"Medicine River Trading Company will always strive to deliver the most historically correct, hand-crafted items that are available today!"

We will not cut corners and use less than traditional construction methods. That means that we will not always be the cheapest...but we will always deliver the highest quality available. We extend this guarantee to the work of any craft-person which we represent.

If it came from Medicine River Trading Company...it has Medicine River's guarantee!

Since we also supply the needs of today's muzzle-loading enthusiast and hunter, we do supply some items that are functional, but not of a traditional nature. These items will always be clearly defined, so that our customers may have complete confidence in the historical validity of their purchases.

Return Policy

If for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchased item within 30 days of receiving the item, you may return the item (undamaged, unless caused by manufacturing failure) for either exchange of a like item or refund of your purchase price.  If the the item has been customized in such a way as to prevent it being resold, and it has not failed by reason of construction, Medicine River Trading Company may retain the original 50% deposit on the item.  If this is the case Medicine River will make clear at the time of delivery that this such a customized item.  If you are returning something, be sure to pack it carefully in the original package and ship it pre-paid and insured to Medicine River Trading Company.   Any freight claims that may occur must be filed with the delivering carrier.  Please notify us of the return and the reason, so that we can be expecting it and have the refund or exchange ready for you.
