Salad Dressings

Here are a couple of quick salad dressings that my family really like.  The Sour Cream Dressing is an adaption of one I had at a wonderful friend's house when I won a *dinner for 2* at her house at a school raffle.  The other is an adaption of a sweet French/Catalina style dressing.  Enjoy!
Sour Cream Dressing
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Whisk all ingredients together.  Serve over tossed salads. Store in tightly covered container.

Ketchup Dressing
  • 2/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
  • dash ground cloves

Whisk all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved.  Store in tightly covered jar.  Chill.  Shake before serving.  Serve over tossed salads.
