This recipe is easy to do when camping and it's impressive to the tipi next door!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick margarine
3 tablespoons peanut butter
3 cups uncooked, quick-cooking rolled oats
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions: In a large saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cocoa, margarine, and peanut butter. Bring to a boil, mashing the peanut butter, boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in oats and vanilla. If the mixture seems too thin - you can add an additional 1/2 cup oats. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool. After they have set, put in a container with a lid. If they stick around this long - they will keep through the weekend. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
